KEY COMPONENTS & TYPES OF SIGNALLING

Deep technical expertise across modern railway signalling systems

Color Light Signals

The dominant system, using 3 or 4 aspects, providing high visibility for enhanced safety and operational efficiency.

Interlocking Systems

Ensures points are set and locked, and the route is clear before a signal is cleared. Modernization is moving toward Electronic Interlocking, allowing for increased speeds (up to 110 kmph or higher).

Automatic Block Signalling

Trains operate within specific sections controlled by signals that change automatically based on the train's position, increasing line capacity and throughput.

Train Protection Systems

Kavach is a key initiative to prevent signal passing at danger (SPAD) and provide automatic braking, significantly enhancing railway safety standards.

Block Working

Involves systems like Tokenless working, SGE (Siemens and General Electric) type, and Block Proving by Axle Counter (BPAC) for secure block clearance and safe train operations.
